Informative CLARK Clips: Tech Support Representation for Residential IT Clients

Tech Support Representation for Residential Clients

DC the Computer guy

We get calls at the office every day asking if we offer Home IT Support. It’s a service I’ve offered from the very beginning, back in 2003, when Clark Computer Services was just me. I loved my residential clients then, and we love them now, almost twenty years later. As a small business owner, I feel that it’s an important customer base, not as a stream of revenue as it takes a couple of hundred residential clients to equal one business client, but because people at home need someone they can trust that will do a good job and treat them well, and that’s what we do.

To me, it doesn’t matter if you’re a residential or business client, our techs are going to be responsive, friendly, and professional.

Although we offer a number of services for Home IT Support, I wanted to bring awareness to one that we do for both residential and business clients that people don’t think to ask about, which is why I thought it would be a great topic for my video blog.

When we take on a job here at CLARK, we take responsibility for the issues. A refusal to play the blame game is one of the things that separates us from our big business competitors, and a big part of that is offering Tech Support Representation.

How many times have you had an issue with your phone, tablet, or computer only to have tech support tell you that it’s not a problem with their product and recommend that you call your internet company or software manufacturer? It’s happened to all of us and it’s extremely frustrating. What’s worse is when you get on the phone with the next tech support company, they have you repeat the exact same troubleshooting steps, and then refer you back to that other tech support or someone else altogether. It becomes an endless loop that often never gets resolved.

We know that dealing with some tech support companies can be awful, and that’s why we offer this service.

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY

These aren’t just words. When I say we take are taking responsibility for the issue, that means that when we discover the root cause of the problem, we’ll offer to reach out to the proper tech support company for you.

NAVIGATING THE SYSTEM

We’ve dealt with these tech support companies often enough that we know the right things to say to get past the first tier of tech support to reach the engineers who can actually resolve the issues. For most people, this is typically the most difficult and frustrating part of dealing with technical support, and also the only way the problems get fixed.

OTHER HOME IT SERVICES

While I wanted to highlight the Tech Support Representation service, there are a number of other Home IT Services we commonly do for residential clients, including:

  • RAM or hard drive upgrades to improve performance
  • malware or virus removal and prevention
  • PC cleanups to speed up sluggish computers
  • and replacing cracked or broken laptop screens

When it comes to Tech Support Representation, our business clients love that we handle this for them, and when you work with us, you get that same service at home. Whether you’re having problems with Wi-Fi, a smartphone, or just can’t get help from your internet service provider, don’t go it alone. We deal with these types of issues all the time and will happily represent you to get the problem resolved once and for all.

As always, if you have any questions or want to discuss IT service options, please get in touch with us here at CLARK by emailing [email protected] or giving us a call at 301-456-6931.
